Watch & Clock Fair and Salon de TE launch on Wednesday
Exquisite brands to be revealed at media tour
5 September 2022 – The 41st HKTDC Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair and 10th Salon de TE, organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), Hong Kong Watch Manufacturers Association Ltd and The Federation of Hong Kong Watch Trades and Industries Ltd, will run in both online and offline formats. The physical fairs will take place from 7 to 11 September at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC), while the online editions will run until 18 September. This year’s fairs will welcome both industry buyers and public visitors with the opportunity to shop for quality timepieces in a single location.
The fairs are bringing together more than 200 exhibitors, presenting a huge array of high-end designer watches as well as fashionable day-wear watches. Sponsored by Prince Jewellery & Watch for the 12th consecutive year, the Salon de TE’s World Brand Piazza will feature 12 renowned international brands in thematic zones including Craft Treasure, Chic & Trendy, and Renaissance Moment, all of which feature exquisite watches in a wide variety of designs and styles.
Various public activities will be held during the fair including a series of watch parades, the “Fashion X Watch” crossover parade, smart bidding, a lucky draw, watch workshops and product launches. Celebrities such as winner of six Paralympic gold medals So Wa-wai, Olympic fencer Cheung Siu-lung and artist Adam Pak Tin-nam will participate in some of the events.
A number of forums and seminars will be organised for industry talents, including the Hong Kong International Watch Forum (5 September), the annual Asian Watch Conference (8 September) and more. In addition, the winning and finalist entries from the 39th Hong Kong Watch & Clock Design Competition, co-organised by the HKTDC, the Hong Kong Watch Manufacturers Association Ltd and The Federation of Hong Kong Watch Trades & Industries Ltd, will be showcased at Hall 1DE in the fairground. The results of the competition will be announced on 6 September.
Organised by the HKTDC, Asia’s prominent fashion event CENTRESTAGE will be held from 9 to 11 September at the HKCEC. The concurrent fairs will spark synergies and create business opportunities for visitors from both the watch and fashion industries.
