The Hong Kong Trade Development Council welcomes the appointment of Dr Peter Lam as the Council’s next Chairman. Peter is an outstanding business leader who has made significant contributions to Hong Kong through his leadership of the Hong Kong Tourism Board and many public office roles. I am confident that he will take the HKTDC to new heights and create more opportunities for Hong Kong.”
Ms Margaret Fong, Executive Director, HKTDC said, “Dr Lam has long been active in promoting Hong Kong to the international community. Under his leadership and the Council’s guidance, the HKTDC will continue to promote Hong Kong’s trade with the rest of the world and open new markets, including prospects arising from the Belt and Road Initiative and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Development Plan. We will fully support Dr Lam in efforts to drive Hong Kong’s economic growth.”
Ms Fong also thanked Mr Vincent Lo for his leadership. “Mr Lo has led the HKTDC to achieve significant milestones, especially with regard to the Belt and Road where many Hong Kong companies have succeeded in finding new partners and business opportunities.”
