Four HKTDC Lifestyle Fairs Open Tomorrow

Food, Tea, Home and Beauty Products in Focus More than 2,000 Exhibitors Offer One-stop Shopping Experience

16 August 2017 - Four HKTDC fairs will open tomorrow at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC): the 28th Food Expo, the fourth Home Delights Expo, the second Beauty & Wellness Expo, and the ninth Hong Kong International Tea Fair. Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), the four fairs are expected to welcome more than 2,000 exhibitors, offering the latest quality products for the public and trade buyers alike, in addition to a series of public and industry events, including celebrity chef cooking demonstrations, health and diet seminars, tea art performances and industry seminars.

Meanwhile, the International Conference of the Modernization of Chinese Medicine & Health Products (ICMCM), jointly organised by the HKTDC and the Modernized Chinese Medicine International Association Ltd, will also be held from 17-18 August.

The Food Expo, the Home Delights Expo, the Beauty & Wellness Expo, the Hong Kong International Tea Fair, and the International Conference of the Modernization of Chinese Medicine & Health Products will open tomorrow at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC). Benjamin Chau, HKTDC Deputy Executive Director, announces details at a press briefing today.

Japan is the Partner Country for this year’s Food Expo, bringing 331 Japanese exhibitors from 36 prefectures to the fair. This exhibitor from Wakayama Prefecture will showcase  vacuumed fresh fruit (upper photo), as well as green tea and melon-flavoured ice cream (lower photo).

The HKTDC held a media tour today to offer a  glimpse of the delicacies and special beverages on offer at the Food Expo, including additive and preservative-freeSpanish small sardine in olive oil  (upper photo), as well as ejiao products from Shandong exhibitors (lower photo).

The Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) has set up a Japanese tea room for buyers to experience traditional tea ceremony and taste Japanese green tea at the Hong Kong International Tea Fair.

At the Beauty & Wellness Expo, new pavilions from Korea and Taiwan will feature their respective local quality products.

The HKTDC and the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups jointly launched the “Home” for Youth Start-ups: the Exhibition Experience Taster Campaign and set up a Start-up Square at the expo, providing a platform for start-ups to promote their products and services.
