Countdown Begins For “In Style • Hong Kong” In Jakarta
20 August 2015 – The countdown is underway for “In Style • Hong Kong,” a mega promotion to be held in Jakarta, Indonesia, from 14 to 20 September. With less than a month to go, event organiser the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) has arranged for top business professionals, leading brands and creative talent to inspire and inform Indonesian corporates and consumers alike.
“This mega-promotion is an expansion of our successful Lifestyle Expos held in Jakarta over the past three years, whereby Hong Kong’s innovative and quality products have been showcased to Indonesian buyers,” said Margaret Fong, Executive Director, HKTDC. “This time we will broaden the scope of our promotion to include Hong Kong’s professional business services to show how Indonesian companies can use Hong Kong as a springboard to explore and expand to the Chinese mainland, other parts of Asia and beyond. We look forward to bringing the best of Hong Kong’s services and products to Indonesia in September.”
The “In Style • Hong Kong” offerings will also feature a citywide promotion that allows Indonesian consumers to sample Hong Kong’s trendy lifestyle attractions.
The Hong Kong branded product expo will be exclusive for trade buyers, while the business symposium will feature networking, business matching and consultation services. An invitation-only Gala Dinner will be held for 500 members of the business community, while the citywide promotion will combine retail and gourmet specials at venues across Jakarta for everyone.
The promotion is expected to help deepen the already strong trade links between Hong Kong, consistently rated as the world’s freest economy by the United States-based Heritage Foundation, and Indonesia, the world’s fourth-most populous nation. In 2014, bilateral trade between Hong Kong and Indonesia reached US$5.16 billion.
