International Diamond, Gem & Pearl Show Opens
2 March 2015 - The second edition of the HKTDC Hong Kong International Diamond, Gem & Pearl Show opened today at AsiaWorld-Expo (AWE) with a record number of exhibitors, three new group pavilions and a debut zone dedicated to precious pearls. The fair, which continues through 6 March, was, until last year, part of the HKTDC Hong Kong International Jewellery Show which opens on Wednesday at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
“Building on the success of the inaugural ‘two shows, two venues’ format introduced last year, this Show returns with another dazzling array of precious stones, pearls and raw materials here at the AsiaWorld-Expo,” said Benedict Sin, Jewellery Advisory Committee Chairman of event organiser the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC).
Pavilions Of Bling
The Diamond, Gem & Pearl Show features 20 group pavilions including new group pavilions from Australia, Colombia and Pakistan. Returning to the event this year are five trade pavilions: Antwerp World Diamond Centre, International Colored Gemstone Association, Japan Pearl Exporters’ Association, Israel Diamond Institute and New York Diamond Dealers Club.
Oceans Of Beauty
New to the show this year is the Treasures of Ocean zone showcasing exquisite pearls. The Hall of Fine Diamonds returns with more than 50 exhibitors showcasing fine carat-size diamonds, while the Treasures of Nature zone is dedicated to rare precious stones.
