17th Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits Fair opens next Thursday

Inaugural World of Spirits featuring Fine Wines from Around the World and Exciting Events

30 October 2025 – Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), the 17th HKTDC Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits Fair will be held from 6 to 8 November at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC).

The market demand for spirits has been growing after the HKSAR Chief Executive’s announcement in last year’s Policy Address regarding the reduction in liquor duty. A media tour on the Fair’s first day will offer a glimpse of the fair highlights including the brand new zone, “World of Spirits” featuring spirits from 14 countries and regions. Among the highlights in “World of Spirits” are Chinese baijiu, with six of  “China’s Top Ten Baijiu Brands” participating. Notably, Luzhou Laojiao from Sichuan will launch a new product on the first day of the Fair.

Local spirits brands will also be featured, including Hongjiaban Maotai, founded by Hong Kong actor Timmy Hung, and Kowloon Spirits, Hong Kong's first local whiskey distillery. International offerings include traditional Irish whiskey and Russian vodka, and a new generation of Tasmanian whisky. The fair will also host 20 spirits-related events, helping industry professionals explore the culture and trends of spirits and seize new market opportunities.

This year’s fair will welcome over 620 exhibitors from 23 countries and regions, presenting wines and spirits from more than 40 origins. The Wine & Spirits Fair also features the “Friends of Wine” zone, which showcases gourmet foods designed to complement alcoholic beverages. On the final day (8 November), the Fair will be open to the public aged 18 or above with ticketed admission, allowing wine lovers to taste and purchase products from around the world and enjoy a variety of engaging activities.

Some of this year’s highlights include:

During the Fair, Xing Wei, Master of Wine, will join Carlito Chiu andCalvin Choi, both award winning sommeliers,  in the blind tasting event. The trio will select their favourite wines and spirits as reference for industry buyers. The Fair will also host competitions, judging panels, and award ceremonies that attract wine professionals globally, including Hong Kong Best Spirits Awards 2025; Hong Kong International Mixology Showdown 2025 - Semi Final of HK region and Final of China GBA region; and Mixology Party.
