Twin lighting fairs and Eco Expo Asia ready to launch
Exploring the latest trends in lighting and environmental protection
Showcasing award-winning and world-renowned lighting systems, cutting-edge carbon reduction technologies
26 October 2025 ─ The 27th Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Autumn Edition), organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), will run on 27-30 October at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC).
The 10th Hong Kong International Outdoor and Tech Light Expo and the 20th Eco Expo Asia will both be held at AsiaWorld-Expo on 28-31 October. Eco Expo Asia is jointly organised by the HKTDC and Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd. and is co-organised by the Environment and Ecology Bureau of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR).
Twin lighting fairs
Under the theme ‘Illuminated Designs for a Smarter Future’, the twin lighting fairs will feature some 3,000 exhibitors from 20 countries and regions, offering a wide range of lighting products and solutions.
The Hall of Connected Lighting, a highlight zone at the Autumn Lighting Fair, makes a return, bringing together some 70 top-tier brands. Several exhibitors that have contributed to globally renowned projects – including those at Gardens by the Bay in Singapore, Yumeshima Station at World Expo in Osaka, Sanxingdui Museum in Sichuan, the BBC’s London headquarters and M+ Museum – will present their products at the Lighting Fair, giving buyers a chance to learn more about their projects as well as the latest innovations.
The Smart Pole and Solution Zone, introduced last year at the Outdoor and Tech Light Expo, is returning to showcase innovative solutions that aid smart city planning and energy efficiency optimisation.
The two lighting fairs will also host thematic forums, product launches and networking events. Receiver of the 2024 DFA World’s Outstanding Chinese Designer award, renowned lighting designer Tino Kwan will host a masterclass on integrating life and technology.
The Innovative Lighting Design Forum, which will take place at the HKCEC on 27 October, will explore two key themes: ‘City Design.Design City: Lighting Design Bound Up with Daily Life’ and ‘RCEP Opportunities Shining Through Cultural Lighting Design’.
Speakers will include representatives from renowned international and local companies, as well as architects and lighting designers, who will share top design cases from various regions and analyse market trends.
Eco Expo Asia
Themed ‘Green Innovations for Carbon Neutrality’, this year’s Eco Expo Asia is expected to attract some 340 exhibitors from 13 countries and regions to showcase the latest products and technologies in new energy, green living and environmental protection.
The Expo will spotlight three key areas – Circular Economy and Waste Management, Green & Smart Mobility, and ESG-related Services – presenting diverse solutions for environmental protection.
This year’s Expo brings together leading international pavilions. The ANSO Environmental Technology Industry Alliance, led by the Alliance of National and International Science Organizations for the Belt and Road Regions (ANSO), together with 11 mainland enterprises, will make its debut, showcasing technologies related to water resources and the atmospheric environment.
A joint government pavilion from Hong Kong featuring 11 bureaus and departments, including the Environment and Ecology Bureau, will highlight the latest policies and initiatives. The Environmental Campaign Committee will debut 22 local start-ups presenting a variety of green innovations.
The Hong Kong Pavilion, supported by the Hong Kong Environmental Protection Department and coordinated by the Federation of Hong Kong Industries, will feature 20 companies, while Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation will lead 10 start-ups to make a joint appearance.
Eco Expo’s highlight event, the Eco Asia Conference, will bring together global officials and experts to exchange insights on pressing environmental issues.
On 28 October, the first day of the Expo, the conference will focus on the latest circular economy developments. This includes the launch of the Hong Kong Circular Built Environment Guidebook, jointly compiled by the Business Environment Council, Hong Kong Green Building Council and Construction Industry Council, which provides the latest green guidelines as well as practical case studies for the construction industry.
On the same day, the FHKI Q-Mark Low Carbon Restaurant Award 2025, organised by the Federation of Hong Kong Industries and the Hong Kong Q-Mark Council, will be presented to recognise outstanding commitment to sustainability and low-carbon practices within the restaurant industry, while inspiring positive change and helping shape a sustainable future for dining.
We invite you or your representative to attend the fairs.
