Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits Fair press conference to be held next Tuesday
Industry Trends Analysis and Showcase of Global Alcoholic Beverages
14 October 2025 – The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) will host the 17th edition of the Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits Fair (the Wine & Spirits Fair) from 6 to 8 November 2025 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The Wine & Spirits Fair will feature a diverse range of alcoholic beverages, equipment and services, gourmet food pairings, wine accessories, wine education sessions and wine investment, reinforcing Hong Kong’s role as a regional hub for the wine and spirits trade.
Following the HKSAR Chief Executive’s announcement in last year’s Policy Address regarding the reduction in liquor duty and in response to the growing market demand, the Wine & Spirits Fair introduces “World of Spirits” zone which showcases award-winning and distinctive spirits, including:
- Moutai Prince from Guizhou which iscrafted using locally sourced, premium ingredients from the core production area within the Chishui River Basin;
- Wuliangye 29°Crush On, a 29% ABV baijiu from Sichuan and pioneering a new trend towards health-conscious, low-alcohol consumption;
- Luzhou Laojiao is recognised as a Major Historical and Cultural Site Protected at the National Level and included on China’s Tentative List for UNESCO World, and is also from Sichuan;
- Kowloon Single Malt Whiskey from Kowloon Spirits Limited, Hong Kong’s first local whiskey brand, uses a proprietary accelerated ageing technology, while maintaining a profile comparable to 12-year-old single malts, as claimed by the distillery.
The Wine & Spirits Fair will also feature wines such as Martin & Ann Arndorfer Anina Verde, a top-tier Austrian natural wine, and Hyakusyun Junmai Daiginjo from Japan. The fair will also feature wines from 40 countries and regions including Argentina, Australia, Chile, Czechia, Russia, and Spain.
During the fair, a series of events will be held, including tastings, industry conferences, food pairing sessions, competitions, and award ceremonies hosted by world-class masters of wine, sommeliers, and industry professionals.
Highlights include:
- Asia Forum on International Promotion of Chinese Baijiu Culture, co-hosted by the China Alcoholic Drinks Association and the HKTDC;
- Baijiu 101 Class, organised by VTC;
- Hong Kong International Mixology Showdown 2025; and
- WINE LUXE Hong Kong TOP 10 Wine Pairing Restaurant Awards Presentation Ceremony 2025
You are invited to attend the press conference where Jenny Koo, HKTDC Deputy Executive Director, will unveil the main details of this year’s Wine & Spirits Fair, along with the latest export figures for Hong Kong’s wine and spirits industry. Debra Meiburg MW, Master of Wine, and Tomy Fong, Experienced Baijiu Connoisseur, will analyse industry trends. 25 exhibitors will also showcase wine, spirits and gourmet food from around the world.
