CENTRESTAGE 10^th anniversary gala lands tomorrow

Fashion Hong Kong Runway Show charts the future of style as over 260 brands come together

2 September 2025 – Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and sponsored by the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency (CCIDA)* of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), Asia’s annual fashion highlight CENTRESTAGE will be held from 3 to 6 September at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC). This landmark 10^th anniversary edition will welcome over 260 fashion brands from 25 countries and regions – the largest participation in the event’s history – with the United Kingdom making its debut appearance as "Partner Country". The fair will once again open its doors free of charge to the public, allowing fashion lovers and industry professionals to celebrate the anniversary milestone together.

Opening fashion show CENTRESTAGE ELITES is one of the event’s most anticipated highlights, took place on the evening of 1 September at M+ in the West Kowloon Cultural District. The show featured an exclusive collection by internationally acclaimed couturier Guo Pei, specially created for CENTRESTAGE, that marked her first solo couture show in Hong Kong. As the first Chinese designer invited to join the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode in Paris and having staged 10 consecutive couture shows, Guo Pei brought her acclaimed artistry to Hong Kong under the theme “Gilternity: An Everlasting Radiance”, presenting over 30 meticulously crafted masterpieces.

Another marquee event is the Fashion Hong Kong Runway Show, which this highlights the 10^th anniversary of the HKTDC’s Fashion Hong Kong international promotional campaign. Taking on the theme “A Decade in Design: What is Seen? What is Felt?” in 2025, the runway presentation reflects on the creative journeys of Hong Kong designers and explores future directions for the city’s vibrant fashion industry. It will be held on the opening night of the fair (3 September) at the HKCEC, featuring the creative collections of four Hong Kong designer brands: ANGUS TSUI, ARTY:ACTIVE, IP AXIS INDUSTRIAL STUDIO and selfFab.. In addition, The Fashion Hong Kong Studio exhibition will also be staged from 3 to 6 September at the HKCEC, presenting creations from a total of 10 Hong Kong designer brands.

As CENTRESTAGE celebrates its 10^th edition, a series of exciting activities will unfold alongside the two major fashion spectacles. These include a number of Fashion Designers’ Collection Shows, showcasing Cambodian brand NATACHA VAN and others. The Fashion Farm Foundation Showcase will take place on 3 September, while FASHIONALLY Collection #25 and three sessions of FASHIONALLY Presentations (3 to 6 September) will feature innovative designs from Hong Kong brands LAPEEWEE, MOODLABBYLORRAINE and KOWLOON CITY BOY.

In addition, “LOCAL POWER Hong Kong Fashion in Seoul”, curated by Hong Kong designer Dorian Ho, will officially launch at CENTRESTAGE (5 September). On the closing day of the fair, the Cammie Chan Cheongsam Show will take the stage, presenting cheongsam designs for adults, children and even pets as thoughtful expressions of diversity and inclusivity. Throughout the fair, a series of professional seminars and sharing sessions will be held, with highlights including "Meet the Fashion Legend: Professor Jimmy Choo OBE and “Master Talk Session – Guo Pei”, offering rare opportunities for dialogue and exchange. These activities will help to foster industry interaction and reinforce Hong Kong’s position as a regional hub of creativity.

Various design competitions will take place during the fair, including the Hong Kong Young Fashion Designers’ Contest 2025 (YDC) Grand Final on 6 September, the Young Knitwear Designers’ Contest, and the “Thread of Creativity fashion competition". These platforms will provide valuable opportunities for new talents to showcase their creativity and step onto the international stage.
