Grand opening of Watch & Clock Fair, Salon de TIME in September

27 August 2025 – The 44^th HKTDC Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair and the 13^th Salon de TIME, co-organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), the Federation of Hong Kong Watch Trades & Industries Limited, and Hong Kong Watch Manufacturers Association Limited, will be held from 2 to 6 September at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The event will continue to use the hybrid EXHIBITION+ model, opening the "Click2Match" AI-driven business matching platform from 26 August to 13 September, which allows exhibitors to proactively identify suitable buyers.

 

At a press conference tomorrow, HKTDC Deputy Executive Director Sophia Chong, along with industry representatives, will share insights into the latest export situation for Hong Kong watches and examine strategies for tapping into emerging markets amidst a trade war by leveraging some of the latest product trends, like luxury, eco-friendly, innovative, and "Guochao" styles. The conference will also introduce this year's featured products, outline the latest market trends, and unveil a series of seminars, forums, and networking events.

 

This year's Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair will showcase OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturing) and ODM (Original Design Manufacturing) timepieces, while the Salon de TIME will feature global watch brands. Both events offer a variety of special activities, including the Hong Kong International Watch Forum, which explores the latest trade and supply chain developments, the auction segment Smart Bidding, and a daily lucky draw. As well as offering a one-stop sourcing platform for global buyers, the Salon de TIME will also be open for free to the public, with some brands even offering the chance for visitors to buy on the spot.

 

The press conference will feature a watch parade of some 30 unique timepieces. Brand representatives who bring watches on the day will also be available for on-site media interviews. Some of the highlighted products include the following:

 

• Zbioland collaborates with Harry Potter to launch the “Dynamic Snake” wristwatch at the exhibition, limited to 200 pieces.
• The German eco-friendly watch brand Lilienthal Berlin has launched a watch with “Oolong Tea Smoke Grey” as the main colour. The dial is made from recycled tea leaves, giving it a subtle tea fragrance.
• The German brand Oskron has released the Watch2Care smart watch, which combines 300,000 traditional Chinese medicine cases and AI analysis. It delivers organ health scores, health monitoring, personalised wellness tips, and early health alerts.
• The watches designed by Chinese independent watchmaker Qian Guobiao that combine exquisite craftsmanship with Chinese cultural elements.
• Shanghai Watch introduces its award-winning timepiece, which won the Gold Award at the 2025 MUSE Design Awards in the US. Inspired by Shanghai’s city flower, the watch dial showcases traditional craftsmanship techniques.
• The Grand Seagull presents the Three-Legged Golden Sunbird Minute Repeater Mechanical Watch. The sunbird’s wings unfold with each chime, showcasing the modern beauty of Eastern aesthetics.
