The 10th Belt and Road Summit Press Conference
Entering a decade of excellence: Summit features achievements and this year’s highlights
26 August 2025 - The Belt and Road Summit, jointly organised by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) and Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), will celebrate its 10th milestone this year on 10 and 11 September 2025 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC). The Summit will gather senior government officials and business leaders from countries and regions connected to the Belt and Road Initiative, highlighting the achievements of Mainland China and Hong Kong, and explore future collaboration opportunities.
The Belt and Road Summit is a key platform for Hong Kong to promote the Belt and Road Initiative and showcases Hong Kong’s role as a capacity building centre in the joint development of the Belt and Road Initiative, and also plays an active and vital role in fostering cross-regional multilateral cooperation among businesses here, on the mainland, and globally.
A press conference tomorrow, led by Algernon Yau, Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, HKSAR; Nicholas Ho, Commissioner for Belt and Road, Commerce and Economic Development Bureau and Patrick Lau, Deputy Executive Director, HKTDC, will share the achievements and future strategies for the Belt and Road Initiative, and preview summit highlights, including new thematic sessions on Hong Kong's role as a capacity building centre, signature Belt and Road projects and youth business leaders.
