CENTRESTAGE celebrates 10th anniversary
Record-breaking scale in 2025 showcases Hong Kong fashion design prowess – details to be revealed tomorrow
17 August 2025 – Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and sponsored by the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency (CCIDA) of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), CENTRESTAGE, Asia’s premier annual fashion event, returns to the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) from 3 to 6 September.
Celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2025, this year’s event is set to be the biggest yet, featuring more than 250 brands from 22 countries and regions, alongside more than 40 spectacular events, including 30 fashion shows and runway presentations. The four-day event is open to buyers, industry participants and the public, free of charge, offering a platform for global buyers to connect with designers and brands from around the world. Members of the public will experience the vibrancy and creativity of global fashion when visiting the event, which will help to reaffirm Hong Kong’s position as a global creative hub and strengthen its role as a centre for cultural and artistic exchange.
The grand opening fashion show, CENTRESTAGE ELITES, will take place on 1 September at M+ in the West Kowloon Cultural District. The highlight of the evening will be the highly anticipated Hong Kong debut of internationally acclaimed couturier Guo Pei’s solo couture show. The first Chinese designer ever admitted to the prestigious Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode, having consecutively presented 10 showcase collections, Guo Pei will unveil her "Gilternity: An Everlasting Radiance" collection, showcasing 30 meticulously crafted pieces that capture fleeting brilliance transformed into eternal artistry, demonstrating her extraordinary vision and craftsmanship to the CENTRESTAGE ELITES audience.
The HKTDC will host a press conference tomorrow, 18 August, at which Sophia Chong, HKTDC Deputy Executive Director, will introduce this year’s CENTRESTAGE highlights and key activities. In addition, Akoto Agyeman, Director of Trade & Investment, British Consulate General Hong Kong, will participate in the press conference, putting a spotlight on the British fashion scene as the UK joins CENTRESTAGE for the first time as “Partner Country". As in previous years, popular artists including Marf Yau, Thor Lok, Shiga Lin, Telford Wong and Danny Hung, will grace the occasion to showcase designs from participating fashion designers, including Hong Kong’s Angus Tsui.
