Autumn Lighting Fair kicks off this Sunday
Exploring latest trends in lighting
25 October 2024 ─ The 26th Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Autumn Edition), organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), will run from 27 to 30 October at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, while the 9th Hong Kong International Outdoor and Tech Light Expo will take place from 29 October to 1 November at AsiaWorld-Expo.
Under the theme of Light & Life, the twin lighting fairs feature some 3,000 exhibitors from 22 countries and regions, showcasing innovative products and solutions that integrate lighting with life. At the Autumn Lighting Fair, the Connected Lighting Zone, which made its debut last year, has been upgraded to the Hall of Connected Lighting, to highlight the market’s pursuit of high-quality design and smart solutions. International brands JDI from Japan and Signify from the Netherlands will move to this hall, together with returning exhibitors, LEDiL from Finland, Tridonic from Austria, TUYA Smart from Mainland China, and newcomers TOPMET from Poland and Zencontrol from Australia. The hall will gather over 50 industry leaders to showcase innovative designs, smart technologies and solutions.
JDI will demonstrate its LumiFree system that uses liquid crystal technology to control light dispersion and alter light patterns in settings such as museums, upscale hotels, conferences and restaurants. The system has just won the Japan Lighting Technology Development Award and the Innovative Product Award at the Asia Lighting Conference. Tridonic will launch the lichtMonitor lighting control software for the first time in Asia. The Shanghai Pudong Intelligent Lighting Association, in collaboration with the DALI Alliance, will gather 33 key brands, such as Dalite, Herculux and Quectel, to present their intelligent lighting ecosystem.
To showcase the latest industry trends and aesthetics, renowned lighting designer Tino Kwan and his team, in collaboration with OFT Interiors founder CM Jao have curated the GLOW & GROW - How Lighting Enriches a Space installation. The lighting fixtures and systems used in the demonstration space are jointly sponsored by the world-renowned architectural and commercial lighting brand ERCO and dynamic lighting experts TRAXON | e:cue.
At the Outdoor and Tech Light Expo, a debut Smart Pole and Solution zone will be introduced to showcase innovative solutions to optimise energy efficiency, while enhancing the quality of life for urban residents. These include products with sensors and adjustable lighting levels, as well as products that monitor traffic and solar power to reduce energy consumption. Other zones include Horticultural Lighting, Outdoor & Public Lighting and Technical & Professional Lighting, showcasing solutions for outdoor commercial and industrial use.
