Highlights of Hong Kong Book Fair unveiled tomorrow
Showcasing experiences from three major summer cultural events
24 June 2024 – The 34th HKTDC Hong Kong Book Fair, organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), will be held from 17 to 23 July at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC), running concurrently with the HKTDC Hong Kong Sports and Leisure Expo and the HKTDC World of Snacks. Visitors can enjoy all three of these prominent summer cultural and leisure events, taking in the pleasures of literature, sports and leisure and shopping for snacks with a single ticket.
The HKTDC will hold a press conference tomorrow (25 June) to unveil the lineup for the three events. For the Book Fair, this will cover the theme of the year, the Art Gallery, selected exhibits from the World of Art & Culture and the speaker lineup for the Eight Seminar Series. There will also be an overview of the Sports and Leisure Expo and the World of Snacks with selected exhibits on display and exhibitors from the two events introducing some of the unique products that will feature onsite, including smart fitness machines that combines aerobics, weight training and stretching, and a tai chi robot designed to help the elderly. On the food front, exhibitors will present treats ranging from new-flavour ice creams and nostalgic snacks to healthy vegetable and fruit crisps.
This year's Hong Kong Book Fair, Sports and Leisure Expo and World of Snacks will all brim with content. The Book Fair has once again invited renowned writers and celebrities to share their creative journey with booklovers, while also presenting a variety of cultural activities to encourage cultural exchange between Hong Kong and the rest of the world, reinforcing Hong Kong's status as an East-meets-West Centre for International Cultural Exchange. Coinciding with the upcoming Olympic Games in Paris, the Sports and Leisure Expo will feature a wide selection of sports and leisure products and the chance to enjoy hands-on experiences. The World of Snacks, meanwhile, will showcase a wide range of confectioneries, nostalgic snacks, party foods and healthy snacks from around the world, with visitors able to sample them firsthand.
