HKTDC’s seven lifestyle, licensing events set to open
Home InStyle and Fashion InStyle take the lead on Saturday, showcasing cultural and green products
17 April 2024 – The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) will host seven creativity focused trade events in late April. The first two exhibitions, Home InStyle and Fashion InStyle, will take place from 20 to 23 April at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC). Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair will follow from 27 to 30 April at the same venue. Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair and the inaugural DeLuxe PrintPack Hong Kong will be held concurrently at AsiaWorld-Expo. Hong Kong International Licensing Show (HKILS) and Asian Licensing Conference (ALC) will also take place from 27 to 29 April at the HKCEC.
The six fairs will feature over 7,000 exhibitors from approximately 30 countries and regions, including Mainland China, Hong Kong, Australia, Italy, Japan, Korea, Luxembourg, Poland, Spain, Saudi Arabia, Thailand and the United States. The ALC will gather nearly 30 international licensing industry experts to share insights.
The Green Zones HKTDC set up at the Home InStyle, Gifts & Premium Fair and Printing & Packaging Fair will be a boon for business as the Hong Kong SAR Government’s plastic-free measures will be implemented next week. Exhibitors in other sections showcasing eco-friendly products will also have eco-labels for easy identification by buyers.
Two major lifestyle exhibitions incorporate new elements
The new Home InStyle incorporates the previous Hong Kong International Home Textiles and Furnishings Fair. The well-received Cultural and Creative Corner, which was launched last year, will return with nearly 50 exhibitors and design brands from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Japan, the Philippines, Taiwan and other regions. The Cultural and Creative Corner has also invited PANTONE as Colour Partner to provide expert guidance for exhibitors.
At Fashion InStyle a Certification & Trade Services zone debuts this year to provide certification services and advice to clothing manufacturers, including sustainability certification guidelines. Other themed zones include Fashion Tech showcasing the latest technologies applied in clothing production and marketing, Corporate Fashion, Urban Chic and Athleisure.
The fairs will feature seminars, buyer forums, product demonstrations and fashion parades. These include the Pet Products and Fashion Parade jointly organised by Home InStyle and Fashion InStyle on the third day of the fairs (22 April). On the same day, the PANTONEVIEW Home + Interiors Color 2024-The Art of Living seminar will feature insights from Karen Ho, PANTONE’s Senior Business Development Manager. Additionally, Eric Chu, Economist at the HKTDC, will join local designers in discussing trends and business opportunities in the silver market during the Silver Symphony: Orchestrating Opportunities in the Growing Market session.
The two fairs will adopt the HKTDC’s EXHIBITION+ model, integrating offline and online elements. Global exhibitors and buyers can use the Click2Match smart business-matching platform for online business discussions until 30 April.
