InnoEX, Electronics Fair return tomorrow
Some 3,000 exhibitors from around the globe attend, highlighting Hong Kong's I&T advantages; media tour showcases featured exhibits
12 April 2024 - The second edition of InnoEX, co-organised by Innovation Technology and Industry Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government and Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), will return from 13 to 16 April (Saturday to Tuesday) at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, together with the 20th HKTDC Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Spring Edition). The two tech fairs will bring together some 3,000 exhibitors from 20 countries and regions to showcase cutting-edge innovative technology products and solutions and use Hong Kong’s international trade centre status to promote the application of innovation and technology (I&T) achievements. Guests from Hong Kong, Mainland China and overseas will share insights through conferences, thematic activities and seminars, enhancing the I&T industry chain while highlighting Hong Kong’s development as an international I&T hub.
Under the theme Innovations for A Smarter World, the second edition of InnoEX brings next-generation smart solutions and disruptive innovative technologies to promote the progress of innovation and technology and drive high-quality economic and social development. This year, InnoEX attracts exhibitors from 13 countries and regions, double last year’s number. The Smart Hong Kong Pavilion, established by the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer (OGCIO) will showcase more than 100 technology solutions closely related to people’s daily lives. The HKSAR Government’s Innovation and Technology Commission will return to demonstrate I&T achievements under InnoHK. The pavilion from France, So French So Innovative, will feature renowned cutting-edge companies such as STMicroelectronics, Veolia, Thales and Dragages while the Canadian Consulate General will also set up a pavilion. The pavilions from Mainland China are also strong. The exhibitors, from 16 provinces and cities, are nearly double last year’s number.
InnoEX will also host conferences and seminars. At an ASEAN Roundtable on InnoEX’s opening day (13 April), government representatives from Laos, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam and other countries and regions will share their experiences in developing smart cities. Speakers from the So French So Innovative pavilion, the OGCIO, the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization and different I&T companies have been invited to delve into the latest industry trends. The Hong Kong Alumni Association of Beijing Universities will also launch the Hong Kong World Youth Science Conference, gathering top-notch talents and renowned scientists, including Nobel Prize-winning scholars, to discuss important topics in big data, AI, quantum computing, biology and new materials.
The HKTDC is launching Exhibitors Meet Talents at this year’s InnoEX and Electronics Fair. Job seekers can attend the event on the second day (14 April) and engage with actively recruiting exhibitors to apply for desired positions. Representatives from the Hong Kong Top Talent Services Association, major recruitment platform Jobsdb and Cyberport will share insights on entering Hong Kong’s I&T sector at multiple seminars.
Entering its 20th edition, the HKTDC Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Spring Edition) adopts the theme World’s Leading Electronics Marketplace. The exhibition features three thematic zones – Hall of Fame, Startup Zone and Tech Hall, showcasing innovative electronics products and technological solutions from renowned international brands and innovative technology companies. This year, the Electronics Fair has added an Energy Storage Zone, and EV industry leader Tesla will showcase environmentally friendly electric vehicles. Innovation companies specialising in game development, extended reality and AI will also bring electronic sports and interactive gaming experiences. Fair activities will include the Tech Trends Symposium on the third day (15 April), discussing The Future of Spatial Computing & Generative AI. Industry experts will be invited to analyse the latest developments in related technologies and equipment, as well as real-life application cases.
During a media tour on the opening day (13 April, tomorrow), exhibitors will introduce technology solutions and products. We cordially invite you and/or your representatives to join the tour, InnoEX, Electronics Fair and other highlighted activities. Details are as follows:
