Press conference introduces seven lifestyle, IP events

Fairs, conference promote creative industry by focusing on fashion, lifestyle and licensing

5 April 2024 – The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) is set to run seven cross-sector events focusing on fashion, lifestyle and licensing this month, including six fairs and a conference. The events will facilitate cross-sectoral collaboration and reinforce Hong Kong as an important international platform for lifestyle and creative businesses. The exhibitions will gather more than 7,000 exhibitors from approximately 30 countries and regions, showcasing houseware, fashion, gifts, printing and packaging as well as licensing brands and IPs. A press conference will be held on Thursday next week (11 April) to introduce key event highlights.

The seven events include Home InStyle and Fashion InStyle, to be held from 20 to 23 April. To follow market trends and offer a more comprehensive sourcing platform, Hong Kong International Home Textiles and Furnishings Fair will be merged into Home InStyle from this year.

More fairs and a conference will follow. Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair will take place from 27 to 30 April and the World of Outdoor & Sporting Goods will debut as a new zone, showcasing camping equipment, dance shoes and sporting goods. Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair and DeLuxe PrintPack Hong Kong will run concurrently, while Hong Kong International Licensing Show and Asian Licensing Conference will run from 27 to 29 April.

As global demand for luxury packaging products grows, the World of DeLuxe PrintPack Zone at Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair becomes a new event this year, DeLuxe PrintPack Hong Kong, featuring printing and packaging products and solutions for luxury goods including cosmetics, wine, jewellery and watches.

Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair and DeLuxe PrintPack Hong Kong will be held at AsiaWorld-Expo while the other five of the seven events will be held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

	Company: Homelover Products Limited Products: Husk’sWare® Eco-Friendly, Biodegradable & Compostable Chinese Tea Set Description: Rice husks and tea-leaf stalks are upcycled to make this product. This brings consumers convenient fashion shopping and has the potential to reduce clothing-sample production at the wholesale level, promoting sustainable practices.

Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair
	Company: Star Industrial Co Ltd Product: Rectangular Stool, Microwave Lunchbox, Air-tight Container Description: Red A is one of Hong Kong’s most famous brands, a series of plastic products launched by Star Industrial Co Ltd in 1949. In the early years, the company mainly sold household products, led by the Red A plastic bucket. Now the company’s product range extends to kitchenware, catering supplies, stationery, industrial containers, accessories, pharmaceutical wares and more. The Red A brand is one of the few with products still made in Hong Kong.
Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair
	Company: HEBEI HENGYU ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION PRODUCTS CO., LTD Product: Pulp Molding Biodegradable tableware Description: The product completely degrades in 45 to 90 days in a natural environment. Pollution-free discarded items compost at home. The items can be used daily and are non-toxic and harmless to human bodies.

DeLuxe PrintPack Hong Kong
	Company: Midas Printing International Limited Product: Each petal of the red flower on the exquisite and elegant macaron gift box is shaped by hand under a hairdryer. Description: The company prints and manufactures paper products, commercial and packaging printing products, such as gift boxes, paper bags, greeting cards, stationery sets, packaging boxes for toys and electronic products, user manuals and commercial books.
Hong Kong International Licensing Show
	Company: Plastic Thing Limited Brand: Fatty Description: Founded by Yan Ip in 2013, Plastic Thing Limited is a renowned character licensing company. They have partnered with a variety of industries and well-known brands and shopping malls to bring the licensed experience of the popular character Fatty to life.
