InnoEX draws worldwide interest in run up to its April return
Press conference will introduce inaugural Smart Lighting Expo, highlights of spring tech fairs and BITWeek
21 March 2024 - The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government and Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) will co-organise the second edition of InnoEX following the successful debut last year. The event aims to gather cutting-edge smart solutions and disruptive innovative technologies from around the globe. It will showcase Hong Kong’s advantages as an international innovation and technology (I&T) hub.
The four spring tech fair events, including the inaugural HKTDC Smart Lighting Expo, HKTDC Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Spring Edition), InnoEX and HKTDC Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Spring Edition), will take place from early April at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. These exhibitions have attracted some 4,300 exhibitors from more than 20 countries and regions.
InnoEX is one of the flagship events of the Business of Innovation and Technology Week (BITWeek), organised by the HKTDC and Innovation, Technology and Industry Bureau. The Smart Lighting Expo will also debut as a BITWeek partner event.
The inaugural Smart Lighting Expo and 15th edition of the Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Spring Edition) will run from 6 to 9 April. The Smart Lighting Expo will showcase IoT lighting technologies such as chips, sensors, LED drivers and IoT lighting platforms, as well as intelligent lighting solutions and products. The Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Spring Edition) will cover commercial, decorative, residential and professional lighting.
InnoEX and the Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Spring Edition) will run from 13 to 16 April. The events will launch the Exhibitors Meet Talents session. Employment hopefuls will have the opportunity to network with exhibitors who are actively recruiting during the exhibition. The number of participating countries and regions in InnoEX will double to 13 with an expanded lineup of exhibitors from Mainland China. InnoEX has received full support from multiple government innovation and technology departments, public research institutions, and technology companies in Hong Kong.
Spring tech fairs will hold a press conference tomorrow (22 March) to introduce highlights of the exhibitions. The Office of the Government Chief Information Officer will introduce several government initiatives promoting smart-city development; while an industry professional will analyse the I&T market condition. Several exhibitors will also showcase their latest innovative products and be available for media interviews. These exhibitors include:
