HKTDC Education & Careers Expo set to launch
Over 800 participating institutions will bring inspiring seminars and success stories

24 January 2024 – Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), the 33rd HKTDC Education & Careers Expo, themed Go with Your Passion, Go Beyond Limits, runs from 25 to 28 January at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC).

More than 800 organisations from 17 countries and regions will bring a diverse array of educational and employment information. The Expo brings together educational institutions, professional groups, government departments as well as public and private corporations, offering many further education and employment information for the general public to explore at no cost.

The Expo offers several zones under the major Education and Careers categories, giving the public information on further education and opportunities in the workplace.

The Career Zone brings together professional institutes, job-seeking platforms, government departments, public and private organisations and more, bringing over 3,000 job opportunities. Several employers will accept job applications and interview candidates on-site in the Recruitment Square.

The Education Zone has four major zones: Local Studies, Overseas, Mainland China and Macao Education, Lifelong Learning and Youth Zone. A number of local universities and post-secondary colleges, overseas universities, overseas and mainland education centres and education organisations are gathered to provide consultation services on further education in 16 countries and regions, including Europe, the United States, Asia and Mainland China. Working people can learn about on-the-job training programmes, including technology education, and pet care. The zone also provides information on career planning and continuing education for young people, as well as various job opportunities.

The Expo features four themes: Arts & Culture (25 January), Innovation & Technology (26 January), Greater Bay Area Opportunities (27 January), and Aviation & Maritime (28 January). Over 100 informative events will be held during the Expo, including sharing sessions by Tom Chan, Founder and Creative Director of Boom Theatre; Raymond Mak, Co-founder & CEO of Farmacy HK Limited; Vincent Ng, Secretary of Starian; and Joel Lee, Director of Wings Flight Academy. Star speakers will share experiences in pursuing their dreams, career paths and keys to success, while the Theme Day Seminar Series and Exhibitor’s Seminar will shed light on trends and developments across a broad array of disciplines.
