Toys and Games Fair witness to industry evolution
Baby Products, Stationery & School Supplies and playthings fairs form child-focused trio and products will be on preview display tomorrow
3 January 2024 – The 50th HKTDC Hong Kong Toys & Games Fair and 15th HKTDC Hong Kong Baby Products Fair, organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), along with the 22nd Hong Kong International Stationery and School Supplies Fair, co-organised with Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, will be held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) from 8 to 11 January, launching the HKTDC’s trade-show year.
The Hong Kong Toys & Games Fair enters its 50th edition this year. Over the decades, the fair has become a key regional industry event, witnessing the evolution of Hong Kong’s toy sector. Themed Innovative Play: A Legend Across Time, this year’s fair will showcase a wide range of innovative and smart toys. The Collectible Toys zone will debut in Kidult World. A Green Toys zone will launch as ESG (environmental, social and corporate governance) concerns grow.
The ODM Strollers and Gear zone debuts at the Baby Products Fair, helping buyers source products from original design manufacturers. The Selection of Europe group pavilion will join the fair for the first time, showcasing European brands and products. Some quality baby products will be on display at the press conference.
The Hong Kong International Stationery and School Supplies Fair will assemble the latest art and craft supplies, school essentials and office supplies.
Under the EXHIBITION+ model, the fairs merge physical exhibition access and the Click2Match smart-matching platform for online business meetings. This year, the HKTDC also offers the Scan2Match service for buyers to scan QR codes at exhibitor booths as a record of favourite suppliers. This will let them extend face-to-face interaction to the online platform and help exhibitors connect with more opportunities after physical fairs close.
A press conference tomorrow will announce fair details, highlight industry trends and showcase products from diverse exhibitors, including:
