Autumn editions of electronics fairs open tomorrow

Media tour will showcase I&T products and technology

 

12 October 2023 – Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), the HKTDC Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Autumn Edition) and electronicAsia, will present a wide variety of innovative technology products and solutions, as well as the latest trends in technology. Under the EXHIBITION+ hybrid mode, physical fairs will run from 13 to 16 October at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) while the online Click2Match will run from 6 to 23 October.

 

The fairs will feature a range of intelligent products, smart-city solutions and related services will be presented by various well-known exhibitors. A media tour will be held on the opening day of the physical fairs, during which various exhibitors will display standout tech products and solutions, including the solution of a Hong Kong startup that have entered the mainland Greater Bay Area market.

 

Organised by the HKTDC and Hong Kong Electronics & Technologies Association, the Symposium on Innovation & Technology on the first day of the fairs (13 October), themed Unlocking Possibilities: Harnessing AI for Innovation in Consumer Electronics, with honourable guests and industry representatives sharing valuable insights on industry-related topics, discussing applications and opportunities of generative artificial intelligence, and exploring hot topics regarding technology such as the Metaverse, Virtual Reality (VR), Extended Reality (XR) and sustainable development. Industry representatives and speakers, including Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), NXP Semiconductors, Microsoft Hong Kong, and Ernst & Young Advisory Services, scholars from overseas universities and the University of Hong Kong, as well as experts from research institutions in Hong Kong.

• Symposium on Innovation & Technology: With the theme "Unlocking Possibilities: Harnessing AI for Innovation in Consumer Electronics" the opening speech will be delivered by Prof Sun Dong, Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry, HKSAR Government. The forum invited honourable guests, including representatives from Ernst & Young Consulting Services, Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), NXP Semiconductors, and Microsoft Hong Kong, and explore the applications and opportunities of generative artificial intelligence.

 

• Innovation Meets Impact: Web3, AI, and the ESG Equation: Four speakers will be discussed the topic of "How Are Web3 and AI Innovations Advancing ESG Initiatives?" and explore how these technologies contribute to meaningful transformations.

 

14 October 2023 (Saturday)

• Hong Kong Electronic Forum - Latest Microelectronics Ecosystem and Risc-V Revolution: Representatives from Avnet Technology Hong Kong Limited, ALTA SICURO, ASMPT Limited, and Institute of Technical Education, Singapore were invited to discuss topics such as microelectronics, emerging RISC-V ecosystem, latest developments in advanced packaging, and their impact on the supply chain.

 

• Incubating Tech Startups in Asia:How to make innovative companies successful?: Speakers will share concrete case studies, including discussions on whether small and medium-sized technology companies survive through services or technology, the impact of ICANN's development on internet entrepreneurs, and an analysis of running B2B2C technology start-up companies by using the CoolJobz case study.

 

15 October 2023 (Sunday)

• Hong Kong Value Creation for Technology: Pitching Competition 2023: Identifying and recognising ventures that create immense investment value through innovative technologies. The competition invited representatives from the Angel Investment Foundation, CVP Securities Limited, Asia Pacific Chamber of New Economic Culture, and Cyberport Startup Alumni Association to be the star judging panel.

 

16 October 2023 (Monday)

• Reliability and Prognostics Health Management of Microelectronics Forum: Discussions on the reliability of microelectronics, reliability & Performance Monitoring of Thermal Imaging Sensors, how SEMI Standards Can Help Enhance Safety and Quality of Semiconductor
