17 July 2023 – The 33rd HKTDC Hong Kong Book Fair, organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), is set to take place from 19 to 25 July at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC). It will run in parallel with the HKTDC Hong Kong Sports and Leisure Expo and HKTDC World of Snacks, with some 780 exhibitors from over 30 countries and regions participating.

A pre-tour of the fairs will be organised for media tomorrow,18 July, to preview the thematic exhibitions at the Book Fair's Art Gallery, inaugural World of Art & Culture zone, as well as highlights of the Sports and Leisure Expo and World of Snacks.

The Book Fair cocktail reception will take place on 19 July, with Mr Chan Kwok-ki, Chief Secretary for Administration of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government, as the guest of honour.

The theme for this year's Book Fair is Children's and Young Adult Literature, with the tagline Reading the World: The Joy of Reading for Children and Youth. To further strengthen Hong Kong's position as an East-meets-West centre for international cultural exchange, the fair will debut a World of Art & Culture zone. Curated by renowned Hong Kong designers, it will showcase literature and cultural arts related to the youth-focused theme from some 30 countries and regions.

The seminar series returns once again to the Book Fair, with renowned writers from Hong Kong and around the globe joining in person. The seminars include Theme of the Year, Renowned Writers, English and International Reading, World of Knowledge, Children and Youth Reading, Personal Development and Spiritual Growth, Lifestyle and Hong Kong Cultural and Historical.
