16th Asian Financial Forum opens this Wednesday
Heavyweight speakers on-site for the first
large-scale financial event of the year
9 January 2023 – The 16th Asian Financial Forum (AFF), organised by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), will be held from 11 to 12 January at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre as well as online. Over 100 global policymakers and influential business leaders will share their insights on financial trends, latest fintech innovations and next generation business ideas.
Themed Accelerating Transformation: Impact ∙ Inclusion ∙ Innovation, the two-day Forum will feature over 40 discussion sessions and workshops in hybrid format with star-studded speakers, including Ban Ki-moon, eighth Secretary-General of the United Nations; Helen Clark, Former Prime Minister of New Zealand; and Christiana Figueres, Co-founder of Global Optimism and Former Executive Secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. Participants will be able to experience in-person the technologies of tomorrow and explore global investment opportunities under three highlighted zones – Fintech Showcase, InnoVenture Salon and FintechHK Start-up Salon, as well as the Global Investment Zone, where over 120 local and overseas exhibitors, international financial institutions, technology companies, start-ups and investment promotion agencies will exhibit in a hybrid format. The HKTDC and the Hong Kong Venture Capital and Private Equity Association will again co-organise the AFF Deal Flow Matchmaking Session that facilitates investors and project owners to connect and explore collaboration opportunities.

- Please bring your business card or press identification card for registration at the media registration counter
- Video and audio recordings at the Forum, except for the opening session, should be used only in the context of media reporting. Live streaming and recorded broadcast are not allowed
- Upon request by the keynote speaker, all live streaming, recorded broadcast and recording are strictly prohibited during the keynote luncheon on 11 January. Photo, audio recording and note-taking will be allowed
