Five autumn tech fairs open next Thursday

Media tour to showcase I&T products and solutions

 

7 October 2022 – The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) is bringing together five autumn tech fairs that will run in both online and offline formats under the EXHIBITION+ model, presenting a wide variety of trendsetting electronics, tech and lighting innovations along with smart city solutions. The fairs include the HKTDC Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Autumn Edition), electronicAsia, HKTDC International ICT Expo, HKTDC Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Autumn Edition), and the HKTDC Hong Kong International Outdoor and Tech Light Expo.

 

The physical fairs will run from 13 to 16 October at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC), while exhibitors, industry players and buyers can continue to build connections through the HKTDC’s smart business-matching platform, Click2Match, until 23 October.

 

Across the five fairs, a range of innovative ideas will be presented by various well-known exhibitors. Expo highlights include the UV-C VentGuard disinfection device, the NFT Digital Asset Autonomous Vehicle, an augmented reality rehab platform with access control and facial recognition, and more. Meanwhile, the So French So Innovative pavilion will introduce leading innovation and technology (I&T) companies and start-ups from France.

 

Organised by the HKTDC and the Hong Kong Electronics & Technologies Association, the Symposium on Innovation & Technology will be held on the first day of the fairs (13 October). This year’s theme is “Innovate for a Sustainable Future”. Industry representatives and speakers, including Yat Siu, Co-founder & Executive Chairman, Animoca Brands; Haoli Qian, Vice President of Engineering, Credo Semiconductor; and Boudewijn Pesch, Vice President Asia Pacific, Axis Communications, will share their valuable insights on environmental, social and governance (ESG) trends, the metaverse, high-speed data transmission, development of AI and semiconductors, energy storage, and digital healthcare technologies.

 

A media preview tour will be held on the opening day of the five autumn tech fairs, at which various exhibitors will display their standout tech products and solutions, while highlighted innovations showcased under the theme “Smarter Hong Kong” will be introduced by the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer.

1. Media representatives interested in covering the five autumn tech fairs can collect their press pass by presenting a business card or press card at the Press Registration Counter (Hall 1E

Concourse, HKCEC), or at the HKTDC Media Centre (G/F, HKCEC, 1 Expo Drive, Wan Chai).

2. Safety is a top priority for the HKTDC and various measures will be implemented at the press conference to protect the health of all participants. All visitors to the HKTDC Media Centre will be required to use the LeaveHomeSafe mobile app and show their COVID-19 vaccination record to enter the venue.
