Hong Kong Book Fair highlights revealed tomorrow

Introducing author line-up and various activities

5 July 2022 – The HKTDC Hong Kong Book Fair, organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), will be held from 20 to 26 July at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC). As one of the celebration events for the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the Hong Kong Book Fair Cultural Events Advisory Panel has picked “History and City Literature” as the theme for this year’s Book Fair, with the tagline “Reading the World: Stories of Hong Kong”, giving booklovers a deeper understanding of Hong Kong’s historical and cultural development and spreading the joy of reading to the public.

This year’s event will once again offer a wonderful array of books and cultural activities with acclaimed authors and celebrities sharing their writing experiences with readers. The fair will run together with two other public fairs – the HKTDC Hong Kong Sports and Leisure Expo and HKTDC World of Snacks. The former will offer a diverse range of sports and leisure brands, products and experiences, while the latter brings together popular candies, nostalgic treats and healthy party foods from around the world. With three events in one, visitors can enjoy three very different experiences with a single ticket.

The HKTDC is holding a press conference tomorrow (Wednesday, 6 July) to introduce details of the Book Fair, including highlights from the fair’s Art Gallery, the author line-up for the “Eight Seminar Series”, and featured events at the Sports and Leisure Expo and World of Snacks. Several featured exhibits from the Art Gallery will be on display, while selected exhibitors from the Sports and Leisure Expo will give live demos of their products, including an e-sports racing simulator and a new board game from Ha! Design Studio Limited and TamJai SamGor Mixian.
