Second Belt and Road Summit Opens Next Month 
Press Conference to Preview Summit Highlights

31 August 2017 – The second Belt and Road Summit, jointly organised by the Government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), will be held on 11 September at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC).

Under the theme “From Vision to Action,” this year’s summit will gather government officials, business leaders and professionals from Hong Kong, the Chinese mainland and countries and regions along the Belt and Road routes to look at how this concept is being turned into reality, to identify where the tangible opportunities are, and to discuss what businesses and governments can do to ride on this game-changing initiative.  Business-matching and project presentations will also be held to facilitate business and investment.

You are invited to a press conference to be held next week (September 4, 2017) to announce details of the Summit.   Mr Edward Yau, Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Government of the HKSAR, and Vincent HS Lo, Chairman, HKTDC will discuss the strategy and plans of the Hong Kong Government and the HKTDC with regards to the Belt and Road Initiative.   Several Hong Kong companies which have successfully tapped into Belt and Road countries will also share their experience and insights.
