Education & Careers Expo Opens Next Thursday
One-stop Information
Platform for Students and Job Seekers

17 February 2017 More than 860 educational institutions, professional associations, government departments and private enterprises from 22 countries and regions will offer the latest information on education and career prospects at the 27th HKTDC Education & Careers Expo, which will run from 23 to 26 February at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The expo is open to public free of charge.

The expo will spotlight daily Education and Careers theme days. New career themes this year include Tech & Innovation, Arts and Startup, while the popular Electrical and Mechanical theme day returns to the show. The education theme days will feature four international study hot-spots: Chinese mainland, Japan, Europe, Australia and New Zealand, presenting tips on studying outside Hong Kong.

Youth Zone will offer young people information on further education and employment, including summer jobs, internships, cultural exchange tours and working holiday programs. Various government departments together with private and public organizations including Police Force, Hong Kong Airport Authority, Centaline Property Agency Limited will accept on-the-spot job applications; a total of more than 2,300 job opportunities are expected to be offered during the fair.

Nearly 100 events, including dog performances by Police Force and Fire Services Department, seminars on topics ranging from further studies and career prospects to DSE and IELTS preparation, will take place during the four-day expo. Renowned celebrities include Chairman of Commission of Youth Lau Ming-wai, senior media person Stephen Chan, Chairman of a digital game company Sze Yan-ngai and Hong Kong Jockey Club apprentice jockey Kei Chiong, will also share their job experience.

The HKTDC will also collaborate with the Vocational Training Council (VTC) to showcase some of the innovative projects co-developed by its teachers and students, as well as experiencing virtual reality (VR) gaming and building a robotic boat.
