12 October 2016 – Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, and supported by the Environment Bureau of the Hong Kong SAR Government, the 11th editions of Eco Expo Asia and the HKTDC Hong Kong International Building and Hardware Fair will run from 26 to 29 October.
Eco Expo Asia comprises four themed days: “Global Innovations for Climate Change”, “Waste Management”, “Sustainable Energies and Buildings” and “Green Living”. Each day will feature a variety of special events and conferences related to its theme. As for Building and Hardware Fair, the BIM and Building Technology zone features software systems and solutions, presenting the latest technology trends and developments.
The final day of Eco Expo Asia (29 Oct) will be open to the public. Visitors will be able to purchase various environmentally friendly products at the “Green Mart”, attend green workshops, and even test drive or test ride an electric vehicle (EV).
Event organisers will announce details of the two fairs during a press conference on 18 October. Highlighted exhibitors will introduce their products, including:
· Smart Ceiling EV Charger, Hong Kong’s only ceiling charging solution for parking spaces without nearby walls or columns, enabling real-time, remote and smart management through a mobile app
· Two Pure electric vans with Europe and Japan charging standards, maximum range per charge over 200 km
· Simple joinery Eco-friendly Plywood Furniture, easy to assemble with no screws and tools required, meets FSC standards.
· “Heritage ReFashioned” Upcycled Clutch Purses, made with upcycled vintage textiles from Chinese “qun kwa” and Japanese Kimono
· Plumbing System with permanent non-demountable joint from New Zealand provides greater joint security resulting in less call backs.
· VHSmart™ Mobile Construction management system, an application which can perform various functions, such as monitoring for construction projects and material tracking
