Three Trade Fairs to Highlight China Opportunities Next Week
Sunday Tour to Preview Toys, Baby Products and Stationery Fairs
8 January 2016 – The HKTDC Hong Kong Toys & Games Fair, Asia’s largest toys fair, will be held concurrently with the Hong Kong Baby Products Fair and the Hong Kong International Stationery Fair from 11 to 14 January at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC). Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), the three fairs are expected to attract a record of nearly 2,800 exhibitors from around the world to display an array of innovative products, ranging from educational toys to high-tech products. Carrie Lam, Chief Secretary for Administration of the Hong Kong SAR Government will be the guest of honour at the Joint Opening Ceremony.
The 42nd Hong Kong Toys & Games Fair: Asia’s largest toys fair showcases innovative toys and games including a VR(Virtual Reality) mobile-controlled drone that uses barometer technology to determine the flying altitude; the first mobile app-controlled 4D Cityscape Time Puzzle; and the magnetic levitating remote-controlled Batwing featured in the latest Batman movie.
The 7th Hong Kong Baby Products Fair: Boosted by the implementation of China’s new Two-Child Policy, the outlook of baby products is promising. The fair welcomes a record number of around 520 exhibitors. This year a new Korean pavilion is introduced together with new zones featuring “Baby Learning Toys” and “Disposable Baby Products” while popular zones of Baby Toys, Games and Educational Products have been expanded. Creative baby products include a two-in-one Bluetooth baby weighing scale and a nappy disposal tub.
The 16th Hong Kong International Stationery Fair: Five thematic zones showcase a wide variety of stationery products, including one of the world’s smallest three-in-one paper shredders. Representatives from Moleskine and Cherrypicks will be among the seminar speakers of the fair, which is co-organised by the HKTDC and Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd.
During the fair period, over 20 seminars and networking activities will be held to discuss products and market trends. These include the Hong Kong Toys Industry Conference, seminars on "trends and business opportunities of China toys and games market” and “stationery design trends”, as well as a Flying Object Demo.
