Largest Ever HKTDC Entrepreneur Day Opens Next Friday
Fair Spotlights ICT, Creative and Innovative Entrepreneurships

22 May 2015 – Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), the seventh HKTDC Entrepreneur Day will be held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC), on 29-30 May. The two-day fair has attracted a record of more than 270 exhibitors featuring their latest start-ups and business support services.

“Helping Start-ups Take Off” is the theme of this year’s Entrepreneur Day. There will be more than 25 seminars, forums and workshops during the fair and the HKTDC has invited more than 50 entrepreneurs and renowned speakers to share practical tips and experience on entrepreneurship with the audience. Speakers include:

• Frederick Ma, Honorary Professor, School of Economics and Finance, University of Hong Kong
• Kenneth Fok, Chairman, Hong Kong United Youth Association
• Akina Fong, Founder, akn. Media & Leather

• Leung Sze Ho, Co-founder of Chung So Si Fong Dessert
• Kee Chi Hing, Chair, Fullness Social Enterprises Society
• Reeve Kwan, Co-founder, GoGoVan
• Frances Du, Director, Greater China Region, Microsoft Ventures.

A new exhibition zone “ICT Start-up Zone”, will showcase start-up success cases related to innovative technology, e-marketing, e-commerce and mobile business apps among other areas.  A new event, “Start-up Runway” will provide entrepreneurs, investors and start-ups with a platform for networking, early stage fundraising and information-sharing from which to explore business collaboration opportunities. Meanwhile, the "Cross Matching Pavilion" will increase the exposure of Hong Kong’s creative and innovative industries, to add value to products and services through brand building. The “Entrepreneur Arena” and "Fund & Mentor Cross Matching" will also return to the event this year.
